Panasonic KX-NCP500/1000 Systems
Panasonic NCP Network Communications Platform combines the latest IP communications technologies such as SIP (enabling cost effective call over Broadband) with the more traditional digital and analogue interfaces. This makes it a very exciting product for small businesses to future proof themselves and larger organisations for ease of deployment.
The Panasonic NCP500 is for small and medium businesses. This hybrid Panasonic telephone system will typically handle up to 12 lines and typically up to 64 extensions (mix of digital, analogue and IP).
The Panasonic NCP1000 is for businesses that require further expansion and can handle up to 60 lines and typically up to 104 extensions (mix of digital, analogue and IP).

What are Unified Communications?
Unified Communications is defined as “Communications integrated to optimise business processes”. Essentially integrating real-time and non real-time communications with business processes based on presence capabilities, presenting a consistent user interface and experience across multiple devices. Unified Communication is not a single product; but a solution made up of a variety of components and elements, including: messaging (email, instant messaging, voice, video), phone calls, conferencing (audio, web, video), presence (on-line and telephony), device awareness and status, and information sharing (web chat, file sharing etc), all tied together with a common user interface.
The Panasonic NCP range offers it Communication Assistant Series productivity software suite, is a highly intuitive PC based application as their answer to the Unified Communication problem.
The Communication Assistant empowers the user with powerful point and click telephony together with rich presence, availability, integration with Microsoft Outlook® and integration with a variety of collaboration tools, all to help simplify and enhance real-time communications for business telephony users.
Communication assistant is a server-less solution, therefore there is no need for an expansive server. Installation times are reduced, less equipment to go wrong and no risk to hacking or virus attack altogether reducing costs.
On a practical level all NCP models ship with on board Simple Voicemail, Auto Attendant facility and Call Queuing.
Each system also ships with 4 basic software licences for instant integration with Micrsoft Outlook. This enables dialling from outlook and incoming screen pop of user record. All this makes the NCP a very cost effective solution for small or medium businesses alike.

The Panasonic Communication Assistant productivity software suite is a highly intuitive PC based application that blends powerful point and click telephony together with screen based presence, availability, integration with Microsoft Outlook®, integration with popular TAPI enabled CRM desktop tools, and a variety of collaboration tools to simplify and enhance real-time communications for business telephony users.
Designed for easy installation and maintenance – Communication Assistant can be deployed without the need of any additional CTI server – making it an ideal solution for small to medium size businesses with limited IT knowledge and staff while multi-site or enterprise businesses requiring scalability to support large deployments – can choose CTI server based deployments.
Availability and Presence – Availability and Presence is fully incorporated into the application allowing you to instantly see other contacts’ status (e.g. available, in a meeting, out to lunch, etc) and helps in determining who is available to handle calls before you decide to call or transfer a call to them.
VMA (Voice Mail Assistant) – Companies using the optional advanced KX-TVM Voice Messaging solution – can allow Communication Assistant users to visually manage their voice mails with Voice Mail Assistant.
Microsoft Outlook Integration – Communication Assistant seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Outlook® via a small dockable toolbar – allowing users to easily dial contact phone numbers and receive incoming call pop-up alerts.
Visually Dial Contacts – To call someone, visually check to see if they are available and simply click on their contact to dial.
Searchable History – A fully searchable call history allows you to easily check any missed or dialled calls.
Easy Access to Common Phone Functions – Common telephony functions such as transferring a call, setting up your call forwarding and do not disturb, putting a call on hold, or creating a “multi-party” conference call are all greatly simplified.
CRM Integration – Integration with TAPI enable popular CRM desktop software – allows users to be more productive by directly handling telephony from within CRM company applications.
Incoming Call Popup – A small pop-up window appears near the system tray to politely inform you of incoming calls. This indicates the name and number of the caller.
