Paxton PROXIMITY P Series Readers

Paxton PROXIMITY P Series Readers

P series readers are for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The readers are supplied with a choice of black or white fascias. Other colours are available. P series readers are available in four sizes. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is then granted or denied as appropriate. If access is granted the green LED flashes. If access is denied the red LED flashes.

KP readers are a keypad and a proximity reader all in one. This allows card plus PIN (or code) access control with a single reader. KP readers are for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The readers are supplied with a choice of black or white bezels. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read if the reader has been configured for code/PIN this must then be entered using the keypad. The control unit verifies the information and grants or denies access as appropriate.

The vandal proof reader is for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The barrel-like construction of the reader means that it can be buried in a wall. This means that it is ideal for use in vandal prone areas where malicious damage could be a problem. Black and white caps are supplied with the reader. The end cap is used as a marker, so users know where to present their tokens. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is then granted or denied as appropriate.

The panel mount reader is for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. It is designed to fit into door entry panels. It can also be fitted into posts to control car park barriers. Paxton PROXIMITY Metal Readers

The PROXIMITY metal reader is for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. It is contained in a cast metal housing with a satin chrome finish. The result is a smart, rugged reader. As the reader is already housed in metal, its operation is affected less by fitting within close proximity to other metal objects. This makes it suitable for installation onto metal door frames, car park reader posts etc.

PROXIMITY backbox readers are for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The reader fits to standard UK electrical backboxes providing a neat installation option for new buildings and refurbishments. The backbox reader is designed for internal use only.

CARDLOCK readers are for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The reader has a plastic construction and is suitable for external use. The reader is finished in black and is compatible with magstripe cards, the most economical type of access control card on the market. Their use makes the reader ideal for those sites with a high rotation of cards. The operation of this reader is the same as the standard CARDLOCK reader.

K series keypads are for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The keypads are supplied with a choice of black or white bezels. The Paxton K Series range of keypads have a neat functional appearance and are available in three sizes that make them suitable for the majority of sites. Each keypad has clearly numbered back-lit buttons. Each size is useful for different situations. For example, the K38 fits neatly onto a door frame while the larger K75 has big, easy to press buttons. A code is entered using the keypad. The control unit checks the validity of the code and grants or denies access as appropriate.

K series stainless steel keypads are for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The keypad has a robust metal construction. Each keypad within the range has a low profile (less than 16mm) that guarantees a seamless look. K series stainless steel are available in three sizes. A mounting plate allows the K75 keypad to be fixed to a standard UK backbox. In addition to the usual pre-wired version, the K75 keypad is also available with screw terminals. This is especially useful for system refits or for ‘new builds’ with pre-installed cabling. A code is entered using the keypad. The control unit checks the validity of the code and grants or denies access as appropriate.

The PROXIMITY architectural reader has been designed to fit discreetly and stylishly into installations where aesthetics are paramount. The reader is manufactured using high quality materials and has 3 high intensity LED”s. The reader consists of two main parts, the reader and the insert. 3 standard types of insert are available; wood, glass and stone. The reader itself is also available in 3 finishes; matt black, gunmetal grey and satin chrome. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is granted or denied as appropriate. If access is granted the reader LED”s show green. If access is denied the reader LED”s show red. At other times the reader LED”s maintain a constant white light.

The PROXIMITY marine reader is manufactured from marine grade stainless steel making it perfect for the most demanding environments. Designed to be stylish as well as practical the reader is low profile and has inner and outer circles of light. This lighting arrangement is attractive and gives excellent visibility. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is granted or denied as appropriate. If access is granted the reader is lit in green. If access is denied the reader is lit in red. At other times the reader is surrounded by a constant blue light. The blue light may be switched off or its intensity varied by presenting the supplied backlight dimming card.

Paxton Energy Saving ReaderPaxton Energy Saving Reader

The energy saving reader is for use with Switch2 or Net2 systems. The reader is designed to retain a user’s PROXIMITY card. The reader is used to ensure that electrical equipment is only switched on when an authorised user card is inserted and retained. When used with Net2, the reader is multi format and can be used with a choice of access tokens including Mifare and EM4100. A proximity card is placed into the reader. Its presence toggles a relay that allows connected equipment to be switched on. When the card is removed, the relay toggles back and turns the equipment off.

The Long range reader has been designed specifically for car park access points. Its long read range of up to 5 metres means that a hands free token can be read from within a vehicle. The built in hands free interface removes the need to lay ground loops. The Long range reader will accommodate vehicles of different sizes. Only one reader needs to be installed at each access point. The Long range reader also works as a close proximity reader so that users without hands free tokens can use it. A hands free token is read when it is within range of the reader.

The Vandal resistant metal keypad is for use with Switch2 and Net2 systems. The keypad is manufactured using a cast metal housing and is supplied with a choice of a metal mounting plate or a metal surface mounting box. This robust keypad is also backlit for ease of use in low lighting conditions. A code is entered using the keypad. The control unit checks the validity of the code and grants or denies access as appropriate.

The PROXIMITY LCD reader is unique. The main visible face of the reader is a full colour backlit LCD screen. The LCD screen can be configured to display images of the customers choice. For example, an image using a company name/logo could be used on each reader around a site. Different images can be displayed when a user is permitted or denied access or if card plus pin (using a keypad) is being used. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is granted or denied as appropriate. If access is granted the designated image, for example “Welcome” will be displayed. If access is denied the image assigned, for example “Contact Security” will be displayed.

The universal reader is suitable to use with most access control systems that accept a clock and data input, as well as PAC controllers that use a single signal wire. The reader is supplied with a choice of black or white fascias. Additional fascia colours are available if required. A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the card data is sent to the control unit and depending on the wiring configuration the Red, Green or Amber LED”s can be used to indicate valid or invalid cards.

Paxton PROXIMITY P Series Reader Mifare

The PROXIMITY P series Mifare reader is suitable for use with Net2 systems. The reader is multi-format and can be used with a choice of access tokens including Mifare Classic protocol ISO 14443A. It can also be used with EM4100 and Paxton Access Net2 tokens.

Paxton Net2 Caller ID ReaderPaxton Net2 Caller ID Reader

This reader allows any phone to be used as a Net2 token for access control. Typical uses include; opening gates/car park barriers, remote clocking in/out, securing communal entrances or infrequently visited sites, switching power on/off and remotely opening doors from anywhere. Like any other Paxton token, if the phone is lost or stolen it can be set to “No Access”, “Lost” or simply deleted from the Net2 system. When a user calls the Net2 Caller ID reader, it first receives the caller ID from the phone and passes the last 8 digits of your phone number to Net2 which accepts this as the token number. The SIM has a monthly cost for management, however, no data charges are incurred as the caller ID is sent without making a full connection.
