Apollo Fire Alarm Detectors
Icom Security supply and install a wide range of Apollo fire alarm & detection equipment for many different applications.
Icom Security will provide you with Apollo fire alarm & detection equipment for conventional fire alarm systems or analogue addressable fire alarm systems.
Below are a range of Apollo fire alarm & detection equipment from Icom Security.
Apollo XP95 Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm & Detection Equipment
XP95 Optical Smoke Detector
The XP95 optical detector uses an internal pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle. In the event of smoke entering the chamber, the light pulse from the LED will be scattered and registered by the photo-diode. A signal is generated and transmitted digitally to the control equipment.
XP95 Multisensor Detector
The XP95 multisensor detector contains an optical smoke sensor and a thermistor temperature sensor whose outputs are combined to give the final analogue value.
XP95 Heat Detector
The XP95 heat detector has a low air-flow resistant case for good contact between the sensing thermistor and the surrounding air. Temperature is measured by a single thermistor network which gives a voltage output proportional to the external air temperature. The signal is processed and transmitted to the control equipment.
XP95 Ionisation Smoke Detector
Air in the dual sensing chambers is irradiated to produce ions that travel to the positive and negative electrodes, creating a current flow. As smoke enters the outer chamber, the flow drops and voltage increases. The voltage is measured and an analogue signal is converted to digital for transmission to the control equipment.
XP95 Manual Call Point
The XP95 Manual Call Point is compliant with EN54-11. The address of each call point is set at the commissioning stage by means of a seven segment DIL switch. The device features plug and play terminal connections and a resettable element.
XP95 Sounder Beacon Base
The Sounder Beacon Base is a loop-powered sounder and beacon combined with a standard Intelligent Mounting Base. It is used to signal a fire alarm in enclosed areas. The Sounder Beacon Base can be used either with a detector fitted or with a cap for operation as a stand-alone alarm device.
XP95 Sounder Beacon
The Multi-Tone Open-Area Sounder Beacon is designed for use in indoor open areas and can be connected to any Discovery or XP95 system. The sounder beacon complements Apollo’s intelligent and integrated base sounders as well as the loop powered 100dB(A) sounder.
XP95 Sounder Base
The Integrated Base Sounder comprises a base sounder with integral mounting base and is for use with Discovery or XP95 ranges. It is designed for use in enclosed areas.
XP95 Sounder
The Multi-Tone Open-Area Sounder is designed for use in open areas and can be connected to any Discovery or XP95 system.
XP95 Beacon Base
The Beacon Base is a loop-powered beacon combined with a standard Intelligent Mounting Base. It is used to signal a fire alarm in enclosed areas. The beacon base can be used with either a detector fitted or with a cap as a stand-alone alarm device.
XP95 Beacon
The Intelligent Open-Area Beacon has been developed for use in situations where there is a risk that sounders will not be heard. It is weatherproof and can be used outside.

Apollo S65 Conventional Fire Alarm & Detection Equipment
Apollo S65 Optical Smoke Detector
The optical smoke detector uses an internal pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle. In the event of smoke entering the chamber, the light pulse from the LED will be scattered and registered by the photo-diode. The detector will then enter the alarm state and the indicator LED lights up.
Apollo S65 Ionisation Smoke Detector
Air in the dual sensing chambers is irradiated to produce ions that travel to the positive and negative electrodes, creating a current flow. As smoke enters the outer chamber, the flow drops and the voltage increases. The detector will then enter the alarm state and the indicator LED lights up.
The heat detector operates by using a matched pair of thermistors to sense heat. One thermistor is exposed to the ambient temperature, the other is sealed. In normal conditions, the two thermistors register similar temperatures, but, on the development of a fire, the temperature recorded by the exposed thermistor will increase rapidly, resulting in an imbalance of the thermistors and causing the detector to change to the alarm state.
A1R, BR and CR are Rate of Rise detectors, designed to detect a fire as the temperature increases, but they also have a fixed upper limit at which the detector will go into alarm if the rate of temperature increase has been too slow to trigger the detector earlier.
CS detector is a fixed heat detector which only changes to the alarm state at a preset temperature.
Apollo S65 Sounder Base
The Series 65 Sounder Base is a high-efficiency conventional alarm sounder incorporating a base for the Series 65 range of detectors. It is designed so that separate detector and sounder circuits can be connected. The sounder base can secured to a conduit box or surface mounted.
Apollo Conventional Manual Call Point
The Conventional Manual Call Point is compliant with EN54-11 and is supplied with a backbox for surface mounting. The ‘Type A’ call point is available in both indoor and outdoor variants. Apollo also offers differently coloured.
